A word from Nat
I have always dreamed of having a DIY backyard wedding but I want everyone to be able to enjoy the celebrations and not worry about leaving Uncle Russell behind the bar or leaving Mum to run around and clean up after everyone. I also didn’t want to leave family & friends running around cleaning up after everyone. So Worth the Wait was born! Worth the Wait is a local business that provides professional wait staff for events and functions from birthday parties to weddings. It’s the business baby of Mackay woman Natalie Aitken, who was inspired whilst planning her own wedding. Natalie knows how important your celebration is, no matter how big or small, and how much effort goes into your special day. Now you can have the staff that support your vision and love it just as much as you do! We help with bar service, waitressing, cleaning up and so much more. Bar Staff
We can pour a beer and vodka, lime & sodas are our speciality. Our bartenders are all Responsible Service of Alcohol trained and can pour all basic spirits and mixers, wine, champagne and special drinks on prearrangement. We will ensure your event runs smoothly and problem free!
Wait Staff
Smashed a glass? No dramas we have a dust pan and broom on hand. Forgot the bottle openers? No issue we have our own. Need more drinks? We’ll run down to the shops for you. Our teams comes with their own ‘kit’ to make sure every little thing goes to plan. Our staff can assist from table service, platters, food presentation, clearing tables or popping bottles of Moët. We work closely with all vendors in the Mackay/Whitsunday region and beyond. We have worked in a chain hotel when the client needed a national drink that the venue wasn’t able to assist with, we are truly Worth The Wait.

What else can Worth the Wait help with?
We can provide delivery of pre wedding coffees, platters and mimosa drink service for your bridal party and much we. Our ultimate goal is to eliminate your family running around, so that everyone can enjoy your special day together. Reach out to us about our packages.
Do we need a cold room?
Cold rooms are highly suggested as this would allow the drinks to be chilled prior to the morning of your event and provides storage for the additional drinks for behind the bar. Our team arrives on site half an hour prior to the bar opening, and we require all drinks to be chilled at this time so we can set up and get to stocking the bar. Speak to us about our recommendations of how much ice will be needed.
